How It Started
Founder James Carter published his first Marvel article in November 2019 — a 3,000-word breakdown of what
Endgame meant for the MCU's future. It got 40 readers. He wrote another one the next week anyway.
By 2021, Marv Fan Shop had a small but fiercely loyal readership. The team grew to four writers, then eight.
The merch store launched in 2022 as a side experiment — and became the backbone of the business within six
months.

The Manchester flagship store opened in 2023 on King Street — one of the best addresses in the city. Today
it's become a gathering point for the local MCU community, with weekly screening events and theory nights.
What We Believe
We believe Marvel films are worth taking seriously. Not in a pretentious way — in a "this deserves real
thought and real writing" way. The MCU has produced some genuinely remarkable storytelling, and it deserves
more than just plot summaries.
